2013 PRESEASON
Welcome back everyone for another year of fantasy football. I’d first like to take a moment to congratulate Team Washburn on winning last year’s Super Bowl. Nicely done! As for everyone else . . . I’m very disappointed in you . . .
CHANGES FOR THE 2013 SEASON
CHANGE #1: New Co-Owner for the California Defenders – After a disappointing 2012 performance, The California Defenders went out and recruited Trevor Pierson as Co-Owner. As of yet, neither Trevor nor Jordan Pierson has commented on the transaction.
CHANGE #2: $20 League Fee Per Team – In order to elevate this league to the next level, the decision has been made to require $20 from each team to form a “League Fund”. Forty dollars of the fund will go towards a Trophy that will be given to the 2013 Super Bowl winner. This trophy will not rotate, but will remain with the champion as a permanent reminder of your fantasy football excellence. The rest of the fund ($120) will also be given to the 2013 super bowl winner as a cash prize!
CHANGE #3: No Divisions Among Us – In order to ensure a more unbiased approach to playoff seeding, there will no longer be a “Cosmo Kramer” or “George Costanza” division. Not only will this reduce confusion over post-season seeding, but will also eliminate favoritism for mediocre teams in bad divisions.
If any of these changes seem unfair, unnecessary, or confusing feel free to contact me via email, text, or phone.
DRAFT DAY
Due to the growing number of owner’s migrating outside of Utah, we will have to hold another online draft on ESPN.com. Please text me what dates/times work best for everyone, I don’t want any auto drafts this year . . . Geoff . . .
RANDOM PRESEASON COMMENTS
Mitch - "Tell Clark that I heard Bree Ann was starting a less competitive league if he's looking for something more his speed."
Clark - In response to Mitch's comment: "It's very hard to take Mitch seriously since his mascot is Hilary Duff. A mascot tells you a lot about an owner. I on the other hand, represent a Grizzly Bear. Big, strong, beautiful and fearless. I represent what is right in our league. Mitch represents a younger, disrespectful generation. I am a proud American. Mitch is an Obama democrat. Let the League decide who should be the league ambassador."
Jeff - "I'm tired of Mitch not keeping his word. That's all."
Jordan - "Bringing Trevor aboard this year was an easy decision. Although his teams in the past were very unsuccessful, Trevor brings an added toughness to our team. That, along with my reputation of molding successful teams might just be the recipe for success this year in becoming fantasy football winners. Hence the name "Super-Big-Boy FantasyFootball.""
